Location

Classes are held at the downtown Indianapolis YMCA at the Athenaeum:

Athenaeum Building
401 E. Michigan St.
Indianapolis, IN 46204

The Athenaeum, also home to the popular Rathskellar, is the historic building diagonally across from the Murat Theater. The YMCA’s entrance is the left-most set of doors off of Michigan Street.

Classes are held in the upstairs aerobics studio. Please check in at the YMCA’s reception desk before heading upstairs.

Notes About Registration and Attendance

If registering at the door, please arrive 20 minutes early on the first night of the lessons series to fill out registration paperwork.

Preregistrations through the mail must be postmarked five days before the start of the lessons series. After this date, preregistration must be done online. Online preregistration closes at 10 p.m. the night before the first class.

To preregister by mail, please send your name, the class you are signing up for, phone number, e-mail address, and a check for the appropriate amount to our P.O. box:

Naptown Stomp
P.O. Box 1051
Indianapolis, IN 46206

Most Naptown Stomp lessons series consist of five or six one-hour classes. Each successive class builds upon the previous one and students are expected to attend regularly. For this reason, registration for lessons is closed after the first class. This allows students to progress at a quicker pace, as the instructors do not have to repeat lesson material every time new students drop in. While we understand that it is not always possible to attend all classes, Naptown Stomp does not offer discounts or refunds for missed classes.

Cancellation Policy

Most classes require a minimum of 10 students. If we do not reach the minimum, the class may be canceled. In this event, all registration fees will be refunded to the registered students.

Refund Policy

A full refund is given to students who cancel by the first day of class. We do not give refunds after the first class meeting, even for injury, illness, work transfers, etc.
